In funktional und technologisch anspruchsvollen und innovativen Gebäudeentwürfen hat die Verwendung von ETFE-Folien in jüngster Zeit große Bedeutung erlangt. Ausführlich geht die Autorin auf die Spezifika von ETFE in Bezug auf Lichtdurchlässigkeit, Dämmeigenschaften, Akustik, Brandschutz und ökologische Verträglichkeit ein. Ebenso stellt sie anhand von zahlreichen Projektbeispielen Entwurfslösungen vor.
